The geographical
location of Tianjin is between 38¡ã34'-40¡ã15' north latitude
and 116¡ã43¡¯-118¡ã4' east longitude.It is by the Bohai Gulf
and in the northeast part of North China Plain.
Tianjin
expands its jurisdiction to 11,305 square kilometers,186 kilometers
from north to south and 101 kilometers from east to west.Its
peripheral boundaries are 900 kilometers long,with a coast
line of 153 kilometers.
The distance
from the center of the city to Beijing,the nation's capital,is
120 kilometers,and 50 kilometers to the east is the Bohai
Gulf.Five tributaries of Haihe River merge in the city and
the mainstream of 72 kilometers long runs southeastward to
the Bohai Bay.
Tianjin
has a warm temperate and semi-humid continental monsoon climate.The
demarcations of the four seasons are distinct.Winter lasts
for aout 160 days,summer 100 days,whereas spring and autumn
50 to 55 days respectively.The annual precipitation of Tianjin

salt. The sodium chloride content of the salt is 96-98%.Annual

reserve is 20 billion tons with a temperature between 30¡ãC
to 98¡ãC.

Jiyu Coal Mine covers 145 square kilometers, with an average
